	The island was originally discovered and inhabited by the dwarves, who declared it as their holy land and began construction of a fort atop island's highest peak. Soon after, jusipat found the island and invited Cflip_, bcfoss and Kjolt947 to join him in settling in the southern tip of the island. This was met in response by threats and general anger from the Dwarf population, who viewed their island as being invaded by foreigners. The dwarves were quickly ~~repelled~~ after they realized that their ~~enemy team had armour equipped~~ and ~~they didn't~~. With the dwarves in retreat, jusipat commanded his forces to ~~continue~~ the attack and follow the dwarves to their hill fort. The dwarves attempted to defend their fort as the Slimmish climbed the hill and began the siege. Cflip_ was the first to breach the defences and get inside, however he was defeated in battle after getting inside. The other Slimmish warriors entered the fort and forced the dwarves to surrender. 			Both sides agreed to a peaceful co-existence following the victory of the Slimmish settlers. In hoping to avoid a dirt war, jusipat was generous in his terms against the conquered peoples. However, the dwarves evacuated the island and moved to new lands. jusipat then returned to the Slimmish fort and proclaimed a new Republic of [[Slimlind]].
