The Balfyard was a short-lived vanilla Minecraft server hosted by Cflip_ that started on April 15th, 2023 and lasted about a week. Interest in vanilla Minecraft and availability of players caused to server to only have about four active players throughout its short lifespan. On the first day there was a battle between Wikaros, bcfoss and Kjolt947, which was documented by bcfoss in the Ealdburg Book. Following this event, players would combine into small groups and build their own bases. There was minor tension between the two main groups on the server, but ultimately nothing came out of it.
