Operation Bonkers was a military plot to overthrow the old authoritarian bureaucracy in Pushkino. Fuelled by the discontent caused by the inactivity and lack of representation involved in the stagnant revived Pushkino authoritarian bureaucracy and restlessness over the growing demographic change that was underway in Pushkino. Player jusipat invited cflip_ into this conspiracy and the Battle Tower was constructed in haste. The conspiracy eventually developed into a full blown insurrectionist movement and attracted widespread support among the population of Pushkino involving player Wikaros, Kjolt947 and bcfoss.

The insurrection took place on July 29, with General Secretary of the Revolution Cflip_ proclaiming to all users on the server: "Under the authority given to me as General Secretary, I declare a new provisional revolutionary government in Pushkino. Oaths of loyalty to the new regime will be accepted immediately." The revolution was bloodless and was the first conflict to utilise the new innovation of crossbow muskets. The conflict ended in the upending of the existing Pushkino government with the new Revolutionary Council, following Stalinist collectivism as its primary ideological goals.
