The Gigimeid is an account of the history of Gigimiee by bcfoss. It is unique among historical records in that it was composed as the server progressed instead of after it ended.

Original Text

Spawn; tropical island

DAY 1:

>players spawn.

>nobel, kran, binold migrate to bigger island

>bcfoss, jprik, flufyking build boats and invade bigger island, slaying kran

>age of migration begins: days of travelling, both tribes coincidentally travel north of spawn

> bcfoss, jprik, kran settle at the foot of massive mountains after kran times out and cant rejoin.

> notably, kran is not yeeted by the blue curve. Monument established at his last known location: "Cathedral of the Antecurve"

> 'you could make a religion out of this'

>binold, nobel settle on islands to the north. 'Grenyl' is founded.

>flufyking settles nearby to the east of Grenyl. 'Skager' is founded.

>Gigimiee is organized into loose duchies. Jprik retains direct ownership of original settlement, naming it Montvert.

>bcfoss founds personal duchy to south. Name undecided, 'Anticer' as placeholder

>bcfoss explores into mineshaft where dragon sleeps. accidentally yeets himself onto it.

> fucking dies

>dragon wakes up

DAY 2:

> skager forms closer political union with grenyl

>ZACK 'the protagonist' spawns, migrates far to the north of Gigimiee and north east to Grenyl, founds 'Nifelheim'

>Nobel, binold troll Zack, forming new language

>second coming of kran. kran materializes in the cathedral of the antecurve, immediately accepted into Gigimiee, forms personal duchy to the east of old Gigimiee

>fabix1 spawns, settles in Gigimiee. Rats and cheese abound. forms personal duchy to south west of old gigimiee, only one chunk large.

>bcfoss and jprik delve deeper into abandoned mineshaft to exploit dragon horde.

GRENYLIAN-GIGIMIEAN BORDER SKIRMISHES theater: western Gigimiee

>Grenyl, envious of the wealth inside dragon's horde, sends an expedition to 'help' Gigimiee recover the treasure.

> Jprik quickly alerts all duchies to prepare for war

> wealthiest of the duchies, bcfoss organizes the arming of the duchies of Fabia* and Krania* from his capital in Anticerum *these duchies had no formal names at the time and are thus assigned latin placeholders: 'Land of the fabi' and 'land of the krani' respectively

>Grenylic army spotted to the far west. bcfoss rallies the confederate armies to halt the Grenylian advance west of Fabia. Army is composed of bcfoss and jprik as the core of the force, kran generally follows the former.

>it should be noted that at the time of the conflict fabix showed a reluctance to fight and often treatied* with the Grenylians separately from the other Gigimieans. *by treatied i mean he joined the other chat

>the rest of Gigimiee would mistakenly doubt the loyalty of fabix for the rest of the war

>armies stand off awkwardly (war was not formally declared, so neither side wanted to be the agressor)

>Grenylians, composed of flufyking and nobel, begin skirting the Gigimiean army, moving toward a nearby ogre-dome.

>fearing the Gigimieans will lose the courage to attack, bcfoss orders a charge, famously screaming "just fucking kill them"

>due to inexperience in battle and lack of mil-tech(axes), the Gigimieans suffer heavy casaulties.

>bcfoss is slain

>Jprik routs.

>kran fucking dies, then kran reinforces late and is massacred again.

>fabix's rats perish or drown in the lake during the battle.

>nobel is wounded, but survives

>flufyking is basically unscathed, despite not wearing a breastplate into battle

>Zack describes the battle as ""this isnt a war, its a genocide""

>Gigimiee determined to continue the fight just to spite him.

> Grenylians push east into Fabia but flufyking retreat

> nobel is trapped in fabia, escapes and is eventually slain by jprik

>Gigimieans consolidate in northern Anticerum ( roughly the middle of Gigimiee at this time )

> Grenylians consolidate* *aka nobel runs back from Grenyl

> Grenylians move south by boat, closing in on Anticerum and the dragon mine.

>Gigimieans follow along the coast.

>Gigimieans attempt to assemble a fleet, but keep getting kicked for flying > so they just guard the coast.

>kran gets seperated from gigimieans, nobel pursues. battle ensues in forests west of Anticerum

>bcfoss reinforces from nobels flank.

>nobel is slain

>kran is slain

>decisive Gigimiean victory

>by this time bcfoss has run out of iron, so armour looted from the battle is noteworthy

>flufyking harries from off the coast, tempts Gigimieans into sea battle.

>despite overwhelming numbers, flufyking wounds and slays Gigimieans* due to superior weapons (ie axes) *remember that we lost a battle, but cant remember who died.

>fabix feigns betrayel in order to get close to flufyking, then attacks.

>flufyking wounded, but survives.

>during a later sea battle, fabix drowns. flufyking allows him to retrieve his stuff

>for the rest of the war, flufyking continues to harry, Gigimiee plays coast guard, and nothing really happens.

>formal ceasefire is negotiated

>Grenyl founds a fort on island near to Gigimiee, which raises tensions

>jprik founds a fort near to Grenyl, but formal peace is negotiated before war breaks out again.

OUTCOME:GIGIMIEAN VICTORY Grenyl is denied access to the treasures of the dragon pit, but Gigimiean iron supplies are severely depleted.

>Gigimiee recovers over a period of ingame weeks

>While half the duchies are offline, Skager and Grenyl launch a raid and kill the dragon in the dragon mine

>fabix slain in the raid.

DAY 3:

>bcfoss and fabix visit grenyl, bypassing its fortifications by travelling through the nether

DAY 4?:

>Gigimiee and Grenyl sign a "Peace treaty" which is also an alliance, but really its just a non-aggression pact

>basically their just making sure their not gonna fight eachother a little longer.

>a problem unadressed by the treaty is the Grenylian claim to a prehistoric cave-chest and surrounding cave in Spinkleton(Ancient Krania)

>chest and cave are restricted as historic sites

>bcfoss and fabix slay an ice dragon in the taigas east of spawn

>bcfoss advances in the ars magica

DAY 5?:

>Gigimieans vote on a national flag

>border disputes between Anticurvum and Spinkleton over cave-rights

>Grenylians convince kran that laws preventing the cedeing of land to foreign powers is an infringement on 'crans rights'

>parliament rules caves as public land. cran immediately votes yea, once removed from grenylian influence.
