Slimlind

The Republic of Slimlind was the first established nation on the PrikPack v15 server. Its roots go back to its establishment by First President jusipat, following the Slimmish victory over the Dwarves on Slimlind Island on the very first day of the server.

Early History

The early history of Slimlind is marked by rapid growth, early industrialization and the population slowly growing. The early history of Slimlind reflects greatly the attitudes of the Settler's War, with little outside contact permitted, and dwarves still heavily demonized.

Urban Slimlind

Following the victory in the Settlers' War, Slimlind underwent rapid growth via the leadership of jusipat. Promising industrialization and a surpassing of the dwarves on the server, he united the nation in common purpose following the first few days of the server. During this time, the Rustlight Fort was finished and renovated multiple times, acting as the seat of power for the administration of the Republic. The original Meaty Oaks industrial building was created and most of the early mechanical contraptions that jusipat was experimenting with soon migrated there. Meaty Oaks soon became home to an effective wheat mill, bringing in the bountiful harvests from the countryside to be efficiently and effectively refined into vast quantities of bread.

Slimmish Internal Strife

Following the construction of the Great Parthenon, Kjolt947's temple was scoped out for demolition as it was viewed as interrupting the order of the city square, taking up too much space and designed in a bygone era. This was supported by all members of Slimlind except Kjolt947, which greatly alienated him from the rest of the citizenry.

Foreign Interference

Dwarvish intelligence had through this time effectively convinced Kjolt947 to spur on a general uprising against first President jusipat, who was seen indifferently by the populace at this time, as his leadership since the days of the Settler's War had waned, letting individualist sentiments take hold of the Republic. Kjolt947 was convinced by Wikaros to declare a popular uprising against jusipat in the name of collectivism, citing suddenly in chat: ¨I am in charge now.¨, and declaring his, or rather his dwarvish overlord's sentiments to begin mass collecivization of all property, alike to the days of Operation Bonkers. At this time, President jusipat was occupied by mining for coal, which at this time during the early era of Slimmish industrialization, was heavily desired. Upon seeing Kjolt947's declaration of a potential coup, he quickly ascended and prepared to meet Kjolt947 with force should he not reneg his claims on the Presidency.
