The Settlers' War was a short battle between the dwarven founders and the tall settlers of an island on the PrikPack v15 server. It resulted in a decisive victory for the settlers, who established the Republic of Slimlind upon victory.
History
The island was originally discovered and inhabited by the dwarves, who declared it as their holy land and began construction of a fort atop island's highest hill. Soon after, jusipat found the island and invited Cflip_, bcfoss and Kjolt947 to join him in settling in the southern tip of the island. Upon his arrival, Cflip_ suggested that the new settlers clear out the sandy beach area to build a sandstone fort. Tensions quickly escalated as both inhabitants fortified their places on the island. jusipat made the discovery that iron ingots can be crafted into iron nuggets, which could then be used to cheaply craft chainmail armour to defend from future attacks.
Not long after this discovery, Wikaros commanded an attack on the sandstone outpost to drive the Slimmish off the island. The dwarves were quickly repelled after they realized that their enemy team had armour equipped and they didn't. With the dwarves in retreat, jusipat commanded his forces to continue the attack and follow the dwarves to their hill fort. The dwarves attempted to defend their fort as the Slimmish climbed the hill and began the siege. Cflip_ was the first to breach the defences and get inside, however he was defeated in battle after getting inside. The other Slimmish warriors entered the fort and forced the dwarves to surrender.
Both sides agreed to a peaceful co-existence, however the dwarves evacuated the island and moved to a new place. jusipat returned to the sandstone fort and declared the new independent Republic of Slimlind.
