Mirkwood
Mirkwood, or referred to earlier as Mourning Wood, was a small nation established by baconpancakes36 on The Tekxit Experiment. Along with Snup and flufyking's nation (name unknown) it was part of the distant southern coalition of nations, Chocobia.
History
Proving Ground
Shortly after joining the server, baconpancakes was pressured by other players into conquering a battle tower, as this act was a sort of rite of passage for people newly joining the server. To achieve this, he set up on an island north of J.INC (Tekxit) in a randomly generated structure. The difficulty of conquering a battle tower so early on did not dissuade him, but there were many special "boss" mobs spawning that hindered his progress. In the end, after many deaths the battle tower was conquered and ideas of what to do next were pondered.
The Journey South
Eventually, after discussing with Kjolt and flufyking, baconpancakes36 decided to head southward towards where their small nations were currently being built. This was quite a far distance, about 6000 meters from spawn. The journey took a few in-game days, and with not much gear or a bed, the journey had to be restarted from spawn multiple times. When the distance was finally covered, baconpancakes36 discovered a Natura mod redwood tree and hollowed it out to form his base and the first step towards the creation of Mirkwood (at this point still referred to as Mourning Wood). Around this time, baconpancakes began his descent into the depravity of the ProjectE mod by building a Power Flower, and also set up a quarry.
Formation of Chocobia
After becoming situated, flufyking, baconpancakes36 and Kjolt discussed an alliance. Eventually it was decided that the three would form a coalition, each putting their nations under one "umbrella" super state: Chocobia. The name was chosen because of the extensive use of Chocobo to travel early on. After this as decided, each of the 3 nations focused on their own endeavors. flufyking and baconpancakes also made a pilgrimage to visit the northern state of J.INC (Tekxit) around this time, which went well and helped sow positive relations between the company and the coalition.
Growth
After discovering that new redwoods could be grown, baconpancakes36 decided to change the nation's name to Mirkwood and began creating a massive artificial forest. The forest consisted of 20 fully grown redwood trees, and when completed, a wall made of redwood bark and wood was constructed around the outer ring of trees, effectively connecting their boughs. The result was a very impressive and mysterious looking forest of massive proportions. While working on this project, baconpancakes36 was also working on progressing the ProjectE mod, building 4 fully leveled up Power Flowers, and reaping the benefits.
All Fun Comes To An End
Eventually, the accumulation of EMC was so rapid (due, in part, to the discovery of an item that sped up time) that baconpancakes36 was able to create all of the maxed out items from the mod. These items are so powerful it is hard to believe they exist. For example, complete invincibility, creative flight, etc... This staggering power came at a cost, which was a widespread loss of interest in the server from almost every player. It turns out that once you have everything, you have nothing. Shortly after, he server was closed, and Fvonny's 7 was started immediately afterwards. This brought an abrupt end to Mirkwood.
